Margaret Cieply's Biography

Cieply Kilnworks is the work of Margaret Cieply.

In the Summer of 1998, my daughter, signed up for summer camp at R&T's Creative Oasis. The final day of camp, parents were invited to try out the art techniques that the children were doing. I got to try out the pottery wheel after many years away from it.

I started taking classes at R&T's Creative Oasis and became a member. I started to perfect my techniques and experimented with a mixture of carving, sketch art, and sculptures. I was hooked!

The people at R&T's Creative Oasis have been very supportive and helpful. They have been monitoring my progress. When they thought my work was "ready", they offered to sell it in their shop. Well, It's Ready! And in April 2000, I began to sell my work.
